Building Confidence with mini explorers.

Mini Explorers is a gentle introduction to the magic of Forest School, created especially for toddlers and younger children. Our sessions are all about curiosity, creativity and confidence-building in the great outdoors. Through simple nature-based activities, free play, storytelling and exploration, little ones can discover the world around them at their own pace.

We focus on sensory experiences, hands-on learning and nurturing early independence. Whether they’re splashing in puddles, collecting natures treasures, making tiny habitats or enjoying circle time around the fire, children learn through joy, movement and imagination.

Mini Explorers is a safe, supportive and welcoming space where children can grow, connect with nature, and build strong foundations for a lifelong love of the outdoors — all while having lots of fun.

Stay & Play.

Join us for our Stay and Play sessions, specially designed for parents/carers, and mini explorers aged 1 to 5. Together we discover the magic of outdoor learning—splashing in puddles, exploring nature trails, building with sticks, digging, making dens, and following curiosity wherever it leads. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space where children learn through play and imagination, and adults can connect, chat, and enjoy the fresh air alongside them.

Outdoor Explorers – Home Education Forest School Sessions

Our Home Education sessions at Outdoor Explorers are designed to give children a rich, hands-on learning experience that goes far beyond the traditional classroom. Rooted in Forest School principles, each session encourages curiosity, independence and confidence while allowing children to explore nature at their own pace.

Children take part in practical, meaningful activities such as woodland crafts, fire lighting, tool use, nature investigations, shelter building and teamwork challenges. Every experience is child-led, giving them the freedom to follow their interests, ask questions and develop real-world skills through play and discovery.

We create a welcoming, supportive environment where children can connect with nature, build friendships and grow in resilience. Learning outdoors helps develop problem-solving, communication, creativity and emotional well-being — all while having fun in the fresh air.
